STAFF AND LEADERSHIP
THE VERY REV. HOLLINSHEAD T. KNIGHT — PRIEST IN RESIDENCE
Born in Philadelphia and a graduate of Yale and the Episcopal Theological School, Hollinshead “Lin” Knight served in the Navy for three years, along with three small missions in Idaho, before moving to St. Luke’s in San Francisco as Associate Rector from 1964–1973. He then served as Vicar and then Rector of St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church in the Diamond Heights area of San Francisco until 1984, after which he served as Dean of St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Honolulu until 1995. Father Lin has served 12 interim positions in his retirement, including the Diocese of California, Wyoming, and Oregon. Fr. Lin and his wife, Ann, enjoy being back in the Bay Area. They have five children and seven grandchildren.
THE REV. RICHARD SCHAPER — PRIEST IN RESIDENCE
Richard Schaper (pronounced “Skopper”) served as our interim priest in the summer of 2021, while our rector is on a sabbatical for the summer, and continues to serve Christ Church as needed. Father Richard was the first member of his family to go to college. He ended up studying at Colgate University, Oxford University, The University of Chicago, Yale University. San Francisco University, and Golden Gate University. He was ordained originally in the Lutheran Church but has been a priest in the Episcopal church for twenty-five years. He loves the characterization of the Episcopal Church as “the roomiest church in Christendom” and sees the signs of this breadth and radical welcome in Christ Church. Father Richard lives nearby in Mill Valley with his wife, The Rev. Dr. Anita Ostrom. He enjoys sailing on his Catalina 36 sloop “Ebenezer lll” that is berthed at the head of Richardson Bay.
THE REV. JON OWENS — PARISH DEACON
Jon is a proud small business owner who does glass and surface solutions for homes and businesses. He also continues to do many nonprofit ventures. Jon says that he believes people have the ability to succeed through collaboration. As a nonprofit leader and business owner Jon has extensive experience with managing budgets, fundraising, grant writing, and communications. He has served for many years in public relations and youth development. He is a bi-vocational clergyperson and has been ordained as a deacon in the Episcopal church for over a decade. He holds a masters in nonprofit management. He is an education specialist and has specialized in human resource development work. Developing others and helping restructure organizations is his passion.
DAVID SOAR - DIRECTOR OF MUSIC

THE VEN. MALCOM MANSON - PRIEST IN RESIDENCE
A native of Great Britain and Oxford graduate, Malcolm Manson came to the United States in 1961. Although Father Malcolm has served as a priest in various venues since 1979, his main occupation has been as a schoolmaster. Through the years, he served several schools, including Marin Country Day School, Cathedral School for Boys, and the Bay School. Retired from active school work since 2009, he still finds time to do minor consulting jobs. Before coming to Christ Church, Father Malcolm has served at many venues, including St. John’s, Ross; St. John the Baptist in Portland, Oregon; St. Mary the Virgin, San Francisco; and Grace Cathedral. In the diocese, he serves as Archdeacon for Schools.
Fr. Malcolm is married to the former Snowden “Sandy” Johnston, a proud San Francisco native. They have three grown children and two grandchildren. His hobbies include playing classical piano, reading a wide variety of literature of miscellaneous value, travel, gardening, and golf.

THE REV. CHIP BARKER LARRIMORE
Chip Barker Larrimore has been with us since June 2012. Before becoming Rector of Christ Church, he served at both St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Redwood City and Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. Fr. Chip is a graduate of the Church Divinity School of the Pacific and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Oregon.
Father Chip and his husband, David Houghton, enjoy spending time with their three sons, Adam, Cole, and Misha. Father Chip enjoys a variety of hobbies, including singing barbershop, hiking, reading, and hosting dinner parties for friends and family.
An integral part of the community, Father Chip’s ministry duties often call him to be outside of the office.
